Happy New Year Everyone,
For the first meeting of 2012, we held it at the Village Pizzeria in Mechanic Falls. We had a
good turnout. Those present were, Richard Carpenter; Art & Mel Lane; Bob & Cheryl Norcross; Steve Betters; Tom Mixon; Dave
& Kathy Anderson; Gordon Provost; Rita Moffatt & Larry Judd; Allen & Claudette Cyr; Phil Baker & Elaine Martineau;
Ed Lane; Dennis & Sandy Wright; & from Chapter A: Bob & Sheila Chevalier.
Dennis welcomed everyone and although not new to GWRRA but new to Chapter C, welcomed Ed Lane from Lisbon.
First off the ride schedule was discussed. Allen has a weekend planned
to St. Agatha for Friday August 24th – 26th. He has 10 rooms blocked off at the Lake View Motel at $65.00 plus tax per night. It will be a day ride to get there, then a day to tour around the area, then the ride home on Sunday. If you are interested
call the motel at 207-543-5006 and tell them this is for the GWRRA weekend to get the rate.
We are going to look into Sunday River
to do the zip line and will get back to everyone with info and will see if there is any interest. If anyone has ideas please
let us know so that the ride schedule can get written up.
